Julianna Marie, born December 7, 2007
Introducing our daughter, Julianna Marie:

Born at 12:33 PM on December 7, 2007 via c-section.
Weight: 10 pounds, 4 ounces
Height: 21.5 inches
We returned home from the hospital on Tuesday. We’re all doing well … very, VERY sleep deprived - mostly because we can’t stop marveling at our darling little daughter. I’ll post more details later.
Andrew, Julianna and me in the operating room minutes after her birth:

Who am I?
OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!! She is absolutely GORGEOUS! Sounds like you are doing well… let us know what the c-section was like (was it as bad as we all thought?). But boy, ten pounds? She’s heavier than Máire who is already a month old! Also, I love the hair.
You look a heck of a lot better than I did!
I know what you mean about sleep deprivation… Máire hasn’t been sleeping through the night very well. At least we have a good network of new moms to commiserate with.
In solidarity!
Beautiful — congrats!
Leah
Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful girl! I had figured that the long radio silence meant as much, but it’s lovely to have confirmation!

Congratulations, Jenny! We did it! I had my little girl on the 10th. I love that picture–it’s not easy photographing newborns, but you did a great job w/ that shot! She’s so beautiful! Congrats!

She’s gorgeous and i LOVE her name! It’s beautiful.
Hi Jennifer,
I came across your blog as I was researching “induction or c section” because I am faced with a very similar situation. Although I don’t think my baby is as big as Julianna, but he is getting heavier by the day. I too have a very very low Bishop score and the doc has already warned me that if the baby still doesn’t drop when we do the induction, the chance of having a successful induction will be low. So we are thinking: screw the birth plan(I planned to a vaginal birth with no epidural!) let’s just cut him out! I am glad that I read your blog and it gave me more confidence in going ahead with the c-section directly.
